The need to advocate for afterschool programs feels more pressing than ever as we’ve seen a dramatic shift in state investments. More programs are feeling the pinch as available resources are spread increasingly thin. Join us as a panel of advocacy experts discusses how to engage at multiple levels with various strategies. The panel includes providers, local leaders, childcare advocates, and national partners with extensive experience speaking up on behalf of youth and the programs that serve them.

Can you hear me now? Our staff, youth, and families have valuable things to tell us, but often we are too busy to listen. The 21st CCLC National Technical Assistance Center will provide you with a space to invest in your own leadership as we explore three of the pillars of servant leadership: Listening, Empathy, and Healing. Come ready to engage in conversations with other leaders, participate in self-reflection, and develop your leadership skills.

Feeling distant from your program's filtering school teams? Wanting to collaborate more closely with school administration in your area? Don't know where to start? Look no further! In this collaborative session, participants will explore the foundations of reciprocal relationships within partnerships in order to better meet youth needs in your OST program. Teams will have opportunities to work together and discuss current challenges and successes, as well as hear from program staff, administrators, and teachers about effective strategies to align their program services with the school day in these critical areas. Participants may attend this session as program/organizational teams or by themselves—all are encouraged!!
