Friday October 25, 2024 11:00am - 12:30pm MDT
This seminar seeks to give school-age educators a useful toolbox for engaging school-age students in new and challenging learning, utilizing differentiation in content and instruction to foster belonging in the classroom. Using fictional students from "The Simpsons" and Springfield Elementary as case studies, attendees will develop skills in building evidence-based lesson plans and engaging student interests, especially when your students might be pranksters, class clowns, bullies, ELL, gifted learners, etc.

FUNN With and Without Props
Friday October 25, 2024 1:30pm - 2:30pm MDT
Quick question: would you be interested in a workshop that showed you how to build a backpack with simple props that you could run 10 to 15 events with 8 to 30 people? This workshop does exactly that. We will be playing these games during the workshop, and like the previous FUNN workshop, the write-ups, and a gear list will be sent to attending participants afterward to make their own "Grab-N-Go" pack. This quick reference "Grab-N-Go" backpack is great for any type of group from 8 to 45 people. So come join us once again as we raise the roof and have some FUN.

9 Square in the Air Building Community One Square at a Time
Saturday October 26, 2024 2:45pm - 3:45pm MDT
Come and discover how to use 9 Square in the Air with your students! For gameplay, think of four squares combined with volleyball, with more people involved at the same time. You'll be able to apply a wide variety of gameplay variations, uses, and group building methodologies from the seminar in your class to maximize involvement and student engagement. We have found many different ways to incorporate SEL when working with students. Playing 9 Square in the Air is a great opportunity to practice honesty and integrity. When playing different varieties of our game, students are presented with the opportunity to practice cooperation/teamwork, compassion, and encouragement. Incorporating our game is an excellent opportunity for teachers to teach life skills.
